The qualification is designed for Candidates who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, style and finish a range of dog breeds, understand health and safety in a dog grooming salon, practice business management and gain skills in canine emergency first aid. No requirement to sit a formal exam

Uniquely, candidates are continually assessed via practical demonstration and coursework. There is no requirement to sit a formal exam in order to achieve the qualification. This holistic approach has been welcomed by candidates to our Training Provider from across the UK, Ireland and Internationally.

iPET Network designed the qualification to have an excellent balance of theoretical and practical learning. Feedback suggests that this qualification takes the pressure out of adult learning and this approach appeals to a wide range of Candidates.

Our Training Providers strive to improve industry standards by ensuring Candidates walk out fully qualified, confident and competent in dog grooming.

The iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management will demonstrate to an employer or the general public that candidates have the necessary technical skills and knowledge to successfully groom a range of dog breeds. This is a formal, regulated, nationally recognised qualification that will remain relevant throughout the Candidates career and can only be achieved by reaching the required skill level.

It has been designed specifically for those looking to become professional dog groomers or those who already groom dogs (as a hobby or career) but do not currently hold a nationally recognised qualification. This approach and elements are unique to our course syllabus making the qualification a more rounded and robust qualification.

A fast-track option is also available for experienced groomers seeking a formal qualification to confirm their skill level or those who have undertaken other qualifications but see the benefit in gaining the iPET Network qualification.

Terms & conditions

The tuition fees listed are applicable to each individual course. All course fees must be paid in full in accordance with the specified terms. To reserve a place on a course, a completed registration form and a deposit are required.

Please note that all deposits and course fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. The remaining balance must be settled before the course begins. If a student cancels within 28 days of the course start date, Dogs Delight will attempt to rebook the place to another student. If rebooking is unsuccessful, all fees will be forfeited, and any outstanding balance will be due immediately.

Courses are personalised to suit the student, and an attendance schedule will be arranged at the time of booking. Once booked, course dates cannot be changed. However, we will allow for one date to be changed without proof of illness. Any further changes will require a doctor’s note to be accepted. Failure to attend the scheduled days will result in the loss of those days.

We recommend attending a taster session before enrolling, as grooming can involve more work than initially expected. It is also important to recognise that not all dogs enjoy grooming and may show signs of stress or discomfort. However, their welfare is always our priority, and handling will be done with care and sensitivity.

Please note that this is not a one-to-one (1:1) course. Our trainers will work with groups or multiple learners, providing support across the class to ensure everyone progresses. We recognise that some learners may require more assistance than others and will endeavour to be sensitive to individual needs. We cannot guarantee any particular trainer, but all our trainers are fully qualified and vetted.

Dogs Delight reserves the right to refuse admission to students if the course is deemed unsuitable for them, without providing a reason. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

Punctuality and cooperation with colleagues are expected to maintain a smooth and friendly environment throughout the course.

Dogs Delight may adjust course dates if necessary for mutual convenience.

In the event a course is cancelled by Dogs Delight before completion, students will be offered an alternative date. If a course is cancelled prior to starting, a full refund will be provided. Dogs Delight is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by students, such as travel or accommodation expenses.

All students are insured against claims from dog owners for whom they work during the course.

Students are advised to ensure their tetanus vaccinations are up to date. Dogs Delight will not be responsible for any issues arising from non-compliance.

For iPet qualification students: online coursework must be completed within one year of registration. Extensions are available for a fee.

All students must be aware that certificates can take some time to arrive, and Dogs Delight cannot be held liable for any delays on the part of the awarding body.

Please inform us of any medical conditions, disabilities, or allergies, as grooming is physically demanding, involving standing for long periods and some lifting. If you have health concerns, consult your GP before booking.

For safety and hygiene, wearing contact lenses or jewellery while grooming is not permitted. Appropriate footwear and clothing are required.

These Terms & Conditions form a contractual agreement between Dogs Delight and the undersigned.

We hope you enjoy your course and wish you the best of luck!
